Balvaird Castle, Fife, Scotland
The castle is a fine example of a traditional late medieval Scottish tower house, built around the year 1500 for Sir Andrew Murray, a younger son of the Murray family of Tullibardine. He acquired the lands of Balvaird in Perthshire through marriage to the heiress Margaret Barclay, a member of a wealthy family. It is likely that Balvaird Castle was built on the site of an earlier Barclay family castle. Substantial remnants of earthwork fortifications around the Castle survive from earlier times.
The Murrays of Balvaird were the forebears of the family that eventually acquired the titles of Lord Balvaird, Viscount Stormont and Earl of Mansfield. As they began to climb the aristocratic ladder, they extended and remodeled the house of Sir Andrew and Dame Margaret. Then, once the 2nd Lord Balvaird succeeded as 4th Viscount Stormont in 1658, they preferred the gentler setting of Scone, north of Perth, for their principal residence. Gradually, Balvaird declined in importance. It ended up as a home for landless farm laborers rather than landed gentry.

I took this picture when I was on a highland day trip. It was such a still winter morning and one of my most treasured memories.
Why not use his millions and actually become Batman? He is really missing an opportunity here.
